Laser targets the dark colour of the (melanin) pigment in the hair follicle. Thus, the root of the hair is compromised with little effect on the skin and surrounding tissue. The idea is to catch the hair in the growing stage (Anagen stage) and not all follicles are in the same growth phase, thus these treatments need to be repeated at strategically  spaced intervals over the course of the hair cycles.

Free consultations are done to discuss treatment area, cost and the number of appointments needed. Please leave hair on the area of concern for consultation.

Before laser hair appointment, shave the area of treatment 1 DAY PRIOR to the appointment, leaving a small amount of growth (if area is being treated at first appointment for the technician to see.)  Apply topical freezing. NAMASTE has topical freezing products for purchase.  Some areas of sensitivity are bikini line, underarms, upper lip and  back of the neck.

You may have a tan though you must wait 3-4 weeks prior to starting laser hair removal treatment because of recent heat on the tissues. You must refrain from sun tanning during treatments. Waxing,  threading or electrolysis treatments must be stopped 2 weeks before starting laser hair removal treatments. Between treatments  you may shave the hair. (No other methods.)
